Case report
A case of subacute thyroiditis associated
with coronavirus disease in which human
leukocyte antigen-B35 might have played
an important role in its onset

Since the beginning of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, cases of COVID-19-associated SAT have been reported worldwide. We herein present the case of a 35- year-old Japanese woman with HLA-B35 who developed SAT 16 days after the diagnosis of COVID-19. The symptoms of COVID-19 and SAT were mild, and she recovered with acetaminophen treatment only.
